Bio
Mary Cook’s contributions to the Collegeville Rotary and District 7430 exemplify her dedication and commitment to Rotary’s ideals and community service. Since joining the Collegeville Rotary in 2007, Mary has worn many hats, including club secretary, president, and youth exchange officer. Her involvement has also extended to co-chairing various fundraisers, Halloween parades, and supporting the soft plastics recycling program. She co-chaired the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) committee and is committed to fostering peace, a core value of Rotary. Mary’s leadership in Rotary Leadership Institute and her efforts to transition events from virtual to in-person settings post-COVID further showcase her adaptability and dedication.
Mary’s commitment to the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, including her work as inbound coordinator and organizing memorable trips like the Washington, DC tour, reflects her passion for international youth development.
In her personal life, Mary and her husband Doug, a Past District Governor, have been deeply involved in Rotary, hosting 19 Youth Exchange students over 21 years and are Paul Harris Fellows and Bequest Society Level 2 donors.
Her professional background as an aquatic director, swim coach, and health and wellness coach demonstrates her lifelong commitment to supporting others in achieving their best selves, both physically and mentally. Mary’s diverse experiences and contributions make her an example of Rotary’s values in action.
